'X Factor' Frankie Cocozza 'caught taking cocaine in nightclub'

X Factor star Frankie Cocozza has allegedly been caught taking cocaine again on a night out in London.

The 18-year-old left the ITV competition last week after he bragged to production staff about having used the illegal substance.

Despite recently branding drugs as "vile" and pledging to become more of a role model to fans, Cocozza is said to have secretly used cocaine while partying with X Factor co-stars The Risk at the Aura nightclub in Mayfair on Tuesday (November 15).

"Frankie let himself down again," a friend told The Sun. "From somewhere he got hold of some coke. He was snorting it secretly behind the backs of his pals."

The publication adds that there was no suggestion that The Risk used the drug or were aware of its presence at the venue.

"Frankie loves the drink and the girls," a source stated. "But the fact he has again taken cocaine will alarm his friends and family."

The Brighton-born singer is also believed to have spent £1,000 on alcohol during his night on the town.

Rumours that Cocozza had been granted a place on the X Factor tour were quashed with the unveiling of the official lineup today (November 17).
