'X Factor's Louis Walsh: "Gary Barlow's lost all credibility"

Louis Walsh

Louis Walsh has suggested that Gary Barlow is part of the reason he is considering quitting The X Factor.

Earlier this week, the judge admitted that it is "50/50" whether he will return to the show next year, branding his fellow judges "crazy" and "no fun".
Walsh has since confessed to the Daily Star Sunday that Gary Barlow annoyed him when he said that all the judges should share responsibility for Frankie Cocozza's axe.

"It may be time to bow out," Walsh said. "Gary's credibility has gone downhill for promoting someone who can't sing. He's publicly backed someone who doesn't have talent or a work ethic. Gary did say he didn't want Frankie to behave, Frankie didn't behave, so the responsibility has to fall on his shoulders.

"I was annoyed Gary tried to blame me for Frankie's troubles. He's trying to blame everyone else but it's his fault. I feel absolutely no guilt or responsibility for Frankie. Gary's been a bit hypocritical as well for saying my comments to Frankie were out of order. He told Sami Brookes she would never be a popstar ever.

"He has a very selective memory. The problem is, Gary's a good songwriter but that doesn't mean he's a good manager. I'm a good manager. I've been doing The X Factor for eight years now. I know the way it works and I know how to manage acts and get the best out of my acts."

An X Factor insider added that Simon Cowell is worried the show has become a "talentless pantomime" and has vowed to save it by flying back from the US, where he is judging on The X Factor USA.
