MacDonald set to climb Mount Kilimanjaro

Julien MacDonald is set to climb Mount Kilimanjaro tomorrow for two children's charities - TAS and Chance UK.
The Welsh designer will fly to Tanzania this evening, ready for his four-day climb.
Speaking to Vogue online the fashion designer said: "Honestly, I look like Dora The Explorer - when I leave home tonight I'll have my boots on, my hats, my big coat, my rucksack - the lot."
He added: "I have never packed for a holiday where I haven't been able to include my nice clothes and sandals - instead I've got a hot water bottle, plasters, thermal socks and a sleeping bag. I'm a bit dubious."
Macdonald was approached by Dorothy Perkins creative director Simon Garner seven months ago to do the epic trek and has been training ever since.
Amidst working on his spring/summer 2012 show, the designer has been embarking on 11-hour treks round the Sussex coast, Beachyhead, Snowdon and in West London.
MacDonald continued to explain that he was always active and into walking from a young age saying: "I actually used to be part of the Boy Scouts, people never believe me when I tell them that - they think it's a joke. But I used to lots of treks, potholing and abseiling - not that I've done much for a while."
