Eva Green prefers to act "almost like a man".

The 'Kingdom of Heaven' actress is attracted to darker roles, and particularly enjoyed portraying the witch character Morgan le Temptress in TV series 'Camelot', for which she appeared naked, and bled from her eyes.

She told the Sunday Times newspaper: "She's so ballsy. We don't have a lot of roles like this. I don't want to play girlfriends and love interests. It's great to be almost like a man."

While she appeared naked in some of her earlier films Eva, 31, admits she now finds sex scenes difficult.

Speaking about 2003 film 'The Dreamers', she added: "[The nudity] was not pleasant. It's more difficult now. If I have to do a sex scene, I feel very self conscious."

Eva first came to international fame playing Vesper Lynd – a femme fatale who proves a match for spy James Bond in 'Casino Royale' – but has since shied away from blockbusters and big budget films, as can't stand "3D films and fighting monsters".

She added: "If I don't like something, I don't think I can even perform. A movie is from my heart, my soul."
