Game Of Thrones is one of the standout shows of the new year. It also happens to be based on one of contemporary fantasy’s most popular series of books, a series which the show has been remarkably reverent to. So, to a certain extent we already know what to expect. But this isn’t What-We’ll-Probably-See-List, this is Wishlist! So let those imaginations run wild. Want to see certain characters back from the dead or an army of dragons in the first episode? Why not? Not that we’d ever advocate tinkering with George RR Martin’s carefully structured narrative of course…
We already know that Gwendoline Christie will feature as towering female warrior Brienne of Tarth, Liam Cunningham’s in there as the former smuggler Ser Davos Seaworth, Stephen Dillane will turn up as Robert’s brother, Stannis Baratheon, The Fades’ Natalie Dormer is Lady Margaery Tyrell, betrothed of Renly Baratheon and Carice van Houten will appear as Melisandre of Asshai (how big is this cast?). When it comes to the plot however the exact details (and how closely the second series will stick to the second book, A Clash Of Kings) are a closely guarded secret, so let us know what you’d like to see on the forum and the best suggestions might just make a future Wishlist.
