The show got off to a flying start with the incredibly sweet and likeable Johnny. The 45-year-old gave us a bit of a Su-Bo moment, we automatically assumed he’d be a bit crap but he amazed us and the judges with a unique voice. We can’t see him making the live finals, but maybe the show will help the single singer find someone to share his bedsit with.
Next we came over a bit teary and fuzzy when with a mid-audition marriage proposal. Soooo cute.
Romance seemed to well and truly be in the air – and everyone was feeling the love for Kelly. 20-year-old Derry flirted with the Destiny’s Child judge and seemed happier about getting a kiss from his dream woman than he did about getting four yeses.
The flirting wasn’t over though, as Kelly got all hot and bothered when auditionee Perry lifted up his shirt to reveal a perfect six-pack.
We loved biscuit factory worker Craig, who shocked his parents by rocking up on stage and wowing the audience and judges with his version of Adele’s Hiding My Heart. Anyone else think that Craig had a similar voice to BGT’s Michael Collings?
Our favourite toe-curlingly bad audition of the night belonged to The Duos, who, after comparing themselves to Beyonce and Jay-Z droned along to If I Were A Boy. They were soooooo bad.
We also enjoyed the montage of deeply terrible group auditions – we had to watch with a pillow close by so we could silently scream into it when things got too dire. So thank goodness for The Keys. We can deffo see them making it to the judges’ houses at least.
The X Factor left us feeling a little weepy, ending the show with 19-year-old Misha. We thought she rocked, but did YOU think? In fact, what did you think of all the acts we saw tonight? Chat away in the comments box below.....
