Mystery surrounds Amy Winehouse's death

New York - Rumors are flying as to the cause of death of singer Amy Winehouse, who was found dead in her bed by her security guard Andrew Morris just before 4pm on Saturday. According to police there were no drugs found in Winehouse's home.

London police say there were no drugs found in her home and other reports indicate that Winehouse had been to her doctor Friday who gave her a clean bill of health [no drugs], though she had complained of not feeling well.

Winehouse's PR man, Chris Goodman, was quoted as saying, "She wanted to sleep and when he went to wake her he found she wasn't breathing. At this stage no one knows how she died. She died alone in bed."

Her family was quite upset over rumors that Amy Winehouse had died from a drug overdose. The singer's father Mitch Winehouse told the BBC in an interview Monday, "Amy was about one thing and that was love. Her whole life was devoted to her family and her friends."

An inquest into the cause of Amy Winehouse's death has begun, but results are not expected to be released until October 26th.

Amy Winehouse was 27 years-old at the time of her death.
