Celebrity Big Brother grabbed 2.5m viewers on Wednesday night, while live football scored for ITV, the latest audience data has revealed.
Celebrity Big Brother averaged 2.52m (13.8%) for Channel 5 in the 10pm hour, as Jedward were split up in the latest house task.
The reality TV show has so far proved a ratings hit for Richard Desmond's Channel 5, delivering 5.1m viewers for its launch night and then staying above 2m for each subsequent nightly highlights programme.
Elsewhere, ITV1's live coverage of Arsenal's crucial Champions League victory against Italian side Udinese scored with 4.28m (19.5%) between 7.30pm and 10pm. Lord Sebastian Coe's turn on Who Do You Think You Are? pulled in a solid 4.87m (20.4%) on BBC One in the 9pm hour.
Earlier in the evening, National Treasures Live grabbed 3.35m (17.7%) from 7.30pm and Sarah Beeny's Village SOS took 3.19m (14.8%) in the 8pm hour. Live At The Apollo amused 1.92m (15.5%) from 11pm.
Coast served up 1.58m (8.1%) on BBC Two in the 7pm hour, before Natural World revved up 1.99m (9.2%) from 8pm. Seven Wonders of the Ancient World captivated 1.16m (5%) between 9pm and 10.15pm.
Over at Channel 4, Jo Frost: Extreme Parental Guidance disciplined 1.28m (5.9%) in the 8pm hour and 199k (0.8%) on +1. Wallis Simpson: The Secret Letters captivated 1.65m (6.9%) from 9pm and 362k (2%) on timeshift. 8 Out of Ten Cats grabbed 860k (4.6%) from 10pm and 253k (2.4%) an hour later.
Garden ER grew 603k (3.2%) on Channel 5 from 7.30pm, before Emergency Bikers fetched 1.3m (6.1%) in the 8pm slot. Extraordinary People had 1.84m (7.7%) from 9pm.
Overall, BBC One just took primetime with 18.9% against ITV1's 18% (+1: 0.3%). Channel 5 came in a strong third with 7.2%, followed by BBC Two with 6.6% and Channel 4 with 5.4% (+1: 1%).
On the multi-channels, The Glee Project entertained 189k (0.9%) on Sky1 in the 8pm hour, and Benidorm pulled in 772k (3.2%) on ITV2 from 9pm and 175k (1%) on +1. E4's Beaver Falls continued with 380k (1.3%) on E4 in the 9pm.
