A-Ha Reuniting for One-Off Memorial Concert

Adele

Norwegian pop stars A-HA are reuniting to perform at a memorial concert honouring those killed in their homeland's recent massacres.
The country was plunged into mourning on 22 July (11) when right-wing extremist Anders Behring Breivik killed 77 people with a car bomb in Oslo and a shooting rampage on the island of Utoya.
The Take On Me hitmakers, who split for a second time last year (10), were subsequently approached to headline a special show at the Oslo Spectrum concert hall to remember the victims on 21 August (11), which has beendeclared a national day of mourning.
"We are grateful to be asked to participate in the memorial ceremony"
And bandmates Morten Harket, Magne Furuholmen and Paul Waaktaar-Savoy are flattered to have been asked to play the one-off gig.
A post on their website reads "On 22 July, we, like everyone else in Norway and the rest of the world, were shaken to the soul by these actionsof cruelty and violent provocation against everything we stand for. "We are grateful to be asked to participate in the memorial ceremony.
We do this to honour those who have been torn away, to show appreciation to everyone who made an effort to help on July 22". The memorial show will also feature other top Scandinavian acts.
