FutureSex/LoveSounds musician and actor Justin Timberlake is set to star in Andrew Niccol's new science fiction film In Time.
Set up in a near future where nobody lives past the age of 25 and people have to 'buy time' in order to stay alive for more than a year, In Time concentrates on a world where time has become a commodity, allowing the rich to live longer whilst the poor die prematurely.
The story will concentrate on Will Salas (Justin Timberlake) a young man who is given 'time' by a wealthy man, and finds himself on the run after being accused of the man's murder.
Directed by Andrew Niccol, otherwise known for writing The Truman Show and directing GATTACA, In Time will be Timberlake's fourth film to be released in 2011.The actor previously took part in Yogi Bear, Bad Teacher, and Friends With Benefits.
According to Digital Spy, Timberlake recenly admitted he was attracted to the role of Salas, because 'he is an ordinary guy, who is trying to stay alive'.
Other cast members will include Mamma Mia's Amanda Seyfried, Cowboys & Aliens star Olivia Wilde, Mad Men's Vincent Kartheiser and Inception's Cillian Murphy.
In Time will be released November 1st.
