X Factor winner to join The Wanted on Christmas Top of the Pops

Little Mix, Amelia Lily and Marcus Collins will battle it out for top prize on the ITV1 talent show this weekend and now know that if they are successful, they will have the chance to showcase their first single on BBC One before the Queen's Christmas Message.

The Wanted have been booked for Top of the Pops (PA)
Fearne Cotton and Reggie Yates will present the one-off festive edition of the music show, which was cancelled in 2006 after a 42-year run.

It will feature some of the biggest-selling artists of 2011, including The Wanted, Pixie Lott, Example, Professor Green and Emeli Sande, Ed Sheeran, The Vaccines, Will Young and Noah & the Whale.
Radio 1 DJ Cotton said: 'I'm so happy Top of the Pops is back for another Christmas special.

'It's a wonderful tradition that I'm so proud to be part of. Great bands, live music and a sprinkling of fake snow thrown in to the mix!'
The show will also include the exclusive announcement of this year's Christmas number one.
