X Factor Voting Patterns: Did Kelly Blow It?

Little Mix became the first band to win the X Factor last night, but viewers will get a real understanding of just how they rose to take the title this morning after some of the voting patterns were announced.

The results show that while trembling country girl Janet Devlin topped the vote FOUR times, finalist Marcus Collins failed to come in first place once.

If you study the figures (below) you can also see that Little mix came from nowhere at Halloween to establish themselves as genuine contenders. Amelia Lily also topped the vote twice after arriving back in the competition, raising questions about Kelly Rowland’s role as a judge.

First she kicked one of her most popular acts out and then failed to harness her popularity to win the title when she returned. There were also rumours that Rowland thought she might have been negatively portrayed in the media if Lily had won (after she ditched her).

It certainly seems that Tulisa got more out of her acts that the former-Destiny’s Child singer. Elsewhere, Barlow will be gutted to learn that none of his acts ever came in first place. Oh well..
