We’re not sure how the current Michael Buble feels about possibly being replaced, but Westlife manager Louis Walsh has said that when the hugely successful boyband split up Shane Filan will go solo and position himself as the new King of Crooning.
“I'm going to manage Shane Filan. He's going for the Michael Buble market,” Louis said on Irish TV over the weekend. “They're all good but I can only manage one. I love Shane's voice. I love Mark's voice too. The other boys are going to do TV and different stuff and radio. They are going out on a high.”
Louis then continued to big up Shane, “[He] is going to be a big artist. I will only manage someone if I believe in them. If I get someone amazing I will manage them.”
Do you think this is a case of Louis playing favourites? And do you think that Shane can be as successful as Michael Buble when he goes it alone?
Westlife split
Westlife announced in October than they plan to split up after 14 years together - their final farewell tour begins in Newcastle on 14 May and finishes on 19 June in Glasgow. The boys have achieved an incredible 14 Number One singles since forming in 1998.
