Little Mix reveal Spice Girls names

Little Mix reveal Spice Girls names

Little Mix are taking the comparisons with the Spice Girls so seriously they have given each other girl power nicknames.

The X Factor winners, mentored by Tulisa Contostavlos, scooped the crown in front of a 10,000-strong audience at Wembley Arena in north London at the weekend, with millions more watching the ITV show live on television.

Jade Thirlwall, 18, from South Shields, said the band could be the "next generation" of Spice Girls.

The girlband, whose other three members are Leigh-Anne Pinnock, 19, from London, and Jesy Nelson, 20, from Essex and Perrie Edwards, 18, from South Shields, beat 23-year-old Liverpudlian Marcus Collins to the title.

They walked away from the talent show with a recording contract and will now release their winners' single, a rendition of Damien Rice's Cannonball, in an attempt to top the charts with a Christmas number one.

Perrie said: "We've got Jade who is Cutey Mix and Leigh-Anne is Fiery Mix, Jesy is Swagger Mix because she's got the swag and I'm Hippy Mix because of my hippy style."
