HARRY Styles should know better than to waste a perfectly good cake.

Unfortunately for him, the cake got its own back.

One Direction took to the stage at London's G-A-Y over the weekend to celebrate What Makes You Beautiful going straight to No.1 in the charts.

And after being presented with a congratulatory cake, the boys decided to turn the event into a huge food fight, hurling pieces of iced sponge across the stage before their performance.

What they didn't foresee was just how slippery the smeared icing would be, resulting in a rather epic mid-song fall from Harry Styles.
