The new Duchess of Cambridge is being coached by St. James's Palace for her future engagements with husband Prince William, and is having private tutorials with experts on the media, arts and the government.
A palace insider said: "The Duchess is being briefed on how the state works, getting to know our national institutions better and learning more about organisations.
It is a process that will carry on for several months."
It's no secret that Princess Diana felt unprepared for the her life as a Royal after she married Prince Charles, so it sounds as if 29-year-old Kate is going to get lots of support to help her settle in.
The source told the Daily Mail that Kate has also been doing her homework: "As well as meetings at St James's Palace. The Duchess is spending time carrying out private research of her own."
Do you think Kate will make a good addition to the Royal family? We reckon that Zara Phillips's husband Mike Tindall probably needs a few lessons...
