Simon Cowell's mum: He got engaged to fiancee Mezhgan too quickly and I haven't seen her for months

Simon Cowell says he's 'not sure' if he's still engaged to Mezhgan Hussainy and the media mogul's mum Julie admits she hasn't seen the make-up artist for ages.
She can't confirm if there'll ever be a wedding or not.
'I honestly don't know, I've hardly seen him,' Julie Cowell, 86, tells the Daily Mail.
'I met him briefly for dinner and he didn't discuss anything with me. He's very private, Simon, about his personal life. He won't talk about it, so I'm as much in the dark as everyone else.'
'I haven't seen Mezhgan for months - she's been in America all this time and I don't know if she's working or what.
'I do not quiz my son, it's the one way to make yourself unpopular as a mother. You have to wait and be told.'
Simon and Mezhgan, 38, met on American Idol and after a whirlwind romance, Simon, 51,
proposed on Valentine's Day 2010.
In November last year Julie revealed that she thought her son had got engaged too quickly.
'If you are Simon's girlfriend, let's be honest about this, you are not going to see very much of him,' she told Metro. 
'He doesn't want anyone sitting in his dressing room when he's working.'
'Sometimes these girls want to be there too much. I think [the engagement] was too quick.
'Marriage is a very big step.'
