David Beckham eats banana with his foot

DAVID Beckham's a man of considerable talents.
And he's got balls too, if this video's anything to go by.

While being interviewed by Disney's Phineas and Ferb, David shows his fearlessness by gulping down a bug.

And wows his interviewers by taking a bite from a banana held in his foot.

He then proceeds to kick a football around the world, before asking if they have any crumpet.

All in a day's work, eh David Beckham?

Take Two with Phineas and Ferb airs this autumn in the UK.

Fergison's 'top secret' soap exit

Cheryl Fergison is set to leave EastEnders in a dramatic "top secret" storyline, it has been revealed.
The 47-year-old will be waving farewell to Albert Square in 2012, after five years of playing the George Michael-obsessed, Alice band-wearing cheese fanatic Heather Trott.
"I've had a wonderful time at EastEnders - it's been a privilege to be part of such an amazing programme and working alongside a fantastic group of people. I'm really excited about exploring new opportunities," she told the soap's official website.
Soap bosses have not said whether Heather will be killed off or whether the door would be left open for a future return.
"Heather's character has been hugely popular over the years, but the decision has been taken to cut her out of the show before viewers tire of her," an insider told the Daily Mirror.
"Cheryl will leave when her contract comes to an end, but it's set to be a dramatic exit which will see the character go out with a real bang."
The source added: "The storyline details are being kept firmly under wraps, but it will be a fitting end for a character after nearly five years."
Chery, who joined the BBC soap in 2007, decided not to extend her contract.
The character was originally planned as a guest role, but proved so popular with viewers that she became a full-time cast member. She has been involved in major storylines, most notably becoming pregnant by schoolboy Darren Miller following a one-night stand.

'Playboy Club' star Sean Maher comes out as gay

The Playboy Club actor Sean Maher has revealed that he is gay.

The 36-year-old star, also known for his roles in Party of Five and Firefly, said that he has kept his sexual orientation a secret for years, mainly due to his former manager.

"Right before I left New York, I had my manager tell me, 'You need to get a girl on your arm or people will start talking'," Maher told Entertainment Weekly.

"I remember telling him, 'I'm gay.' He had no idea, and he said, 'All the more reason to get a girl on your arm.'"

Maher studied at New York University, graduating in drama during 1997.

The actor also recalled pressure from a former agent, adding: "My agent was also like, 'It's best if you keep your options open. Maybe bisexual?' I went so far as to sleep with women a couple [of] times. It was a very confusing time for me."

Maher added that he is happy to be finally coming out as gay, and that he is enjoying life with partner Paul and their two children Sophie Rose, four, and Liam Xavier, 14 months.

"This is my 'coming out' ball. I've been dying to do this," he said. "I have these beautiful children and this extraordinary family.

"To think in any way shape or form that that's wrong or that there's shame in that or that there's something to hide actually turns my stomach."

Ellen DeGeneres laughs off chest pain scare on air: Video

Ellen DeGeneres has said that she is "fine" following a visit from paramedics on Monday.

The award-winning talkshow host complained of chest pains during a meeting at the Warner Bros studios in Burbank, California on Monday morning, TMZ reports.

A member of DeGeneres's production team is believed to have called the emergency services, who visited the studios to examine the 53-year-old comedian just before noon.

DeGeneres later recalled what happened on air in a tongue-in-cheek manner, reassuring viewers that she was okay.

She began by joking: "The paramedics were strippers that I had called, and that's how the rumours got started."

DeGeneres also quipped that a feeling of "tightness and heaviness" in her chest area was caused by her cat sitting on top of her.

DeGeneres continued: "About 50 fire trucks and ambulances - I mean, [it was] like one marching band short of a parade - showed up outside of my office, and then they came in with an axe [and] broke the door down. I mean, it was open, I don't know why they did that."

On a more serious note, she added: "Everything's fine, I don't know what it is... but anyway, I want to say thank you to all the paramedics and to the nurses who showed up."

Shane Warne and Elizabeth HurleyShane Warne has decided to ask Liz Hurley to marry him, according to his friends.

The 42-year-old former Australian cricketer, who first became romantically involved with Hurley late last year, has reportedly told friends that he will propose to the model and Gossip Girl actress by the end of this year.

'At Home With Julia' axed before end of first season

Julia Gillard

At Home with Julia has been cancelled after only four episodes.

The Australian parody series, which stars comedians Amanda Bishop and Phil Lloyd as Prime Minister Julia Gillard and partner Tim Mathieson, caused controversy after last week's episode showed the couple post-coitally draped in an Australian flag on the floor of Gillard's office.

An ABC spokesperson said: "We are thrilled at the response the series has had, exciting and dividing viewers alike, but at this stage there are no plans for another series of At Home with Julia."

Bishop and Lloyd allegedly wrote six episodes of the show, but the last two were never filmed and will not go to air. Tomorrow night's episode will be the last.

After the controversial 'flag-gate' episode, Nationals MP John Forrest said: "I am offended, and we should take a stand," while Liberal MP Bronwyn Bishop described the series as "tasteless". Federal Treasurer Wayne Swan added: "I don't mind programmes taking the mickey out of politicians but frankly, I think this one is a bit low rent."

Last week, Gillard herself said that she had "more to do" than watch a show based on her, but admitted that "aspects of that first episode were funny".

Michael Jackson's doctor Conrad Murray to stand trial today

Dr Conrad MurrayMichael Jackson

Michael Jackson's personal doctor is scheduled to stand trial on Tuesday.

Dr Conrad Murray, who treated the 'Thriller' singer shortly before his death in June 2009, has pleaded not guilty to a charge of involuntary manslaughter. He could face up to four years in prison if found guilty.

Last Friday, a jury of seven men and five women was selected from almost 400 people. Each potential juror had to complete a 30-page questionnaire about Jackson and the media coverage from when he died.

Six of the chosen panelists are Caucasian, five are Hispanic and one is African-American. Their professions range from a bus driver to a paralegal.

Murray has been accused of administering the sedative Propofol to Jackson after finding him unconscious at his home, but the trial will determine whether his actions actually caused the entertainer's death.

Legal analyst Steven Cron told BBC News: "We're finally going to get a full airing of all the facts. In order to be guilty of a crime one has to be grossly negligent, not just minimally negligent, and that's what they're trying to prove."

Murray's defense team reportedly requested to use footage from Jackson's This Is It documentary to support his claims that the singer was unwell in the lead-up to his death, but the request was thrown out by Judge Michael Pastor.

Kian Egan has cut down on his drinking since finding out wife Jodi Albert was pregnant.
The Westlife star and the singer-and-actress are expecting their first child together and because Jodi can't drink, Kian has also decided to curb his alcohol intake.
He said: "I haven't been drinking as much. I've had a few nights down the pub but you do go through it together. I don't like the idea of waking up with a hangover anymore."
Jodi gave up drinking as soon as she discovered she was pregnant but admits she had to pretend she still was during the early stages of the pregnancy so nobody would suspect.
She told Britain's OK! magazine: "I haven't missed drinking. Don't get me wrong, I love a drink and we love going out and having a few cocktails but the minute I fell pregnant I switched off, I didn't want it. My main concern is growing this baby properly, but because we were out with friends Kian would just order me a soda and lime without the vodka, so people didn't suspect, and then I'd just pretend I was off my face - I think my days of acting helped out there!"

Usher doesn't care about awards and just wants to be creative.

However, while he loves making music, Usher's favourite way of relaxing and getting new inspiration is going to art museums all over the world.
He told Britain's HELLO! magazine:" I love to travel and see the world, taking in art museums. I really enjoyed the Louvre when I was there not so long ago. I just love to talk to people as much as I can, talking about what's going on in their life and what they're experiencing."

We Love Closing Party

Quite frankly one of the most ridiculous lineups. What a way to close out their season.
Despite stiff competition for the Sunday night crowd from Cadenza at Pacha, Privilege Live, Judgement Sundays at Eden, and varous other nights, We Love Space Sundays has been the place to be. With one of the most diverse series of lineups on the sland, the event has catered for even the most picky of music lovers.
Their closing fiesta is no different, and you only have to glance at the lineup to see that.
Aphex Twin return after their amazing closing set last year, Norman Cook morphs in to Fatboy Slim and is always a crowd favourite, and 2manydj's are back after performing earlier in the season... and that's just the three headliners.
With all the other regular players (Zabiela, Voorn etc) having their moment on the decks and support a massive base of other DJ's, you can expect to have laughs aplenty and look forward to feeling mildy depressed that it's all over until next year. I suppose you could always head to Cocoon closing though...

Inbreeding in nature promotes promiscuity

A couple making love

Promiscuity in nature is considered to be a good thing, according to a new study. Through recent investigations, scientists have discovered that females who are promiscuous are simply solving the problem of inbreeding.

Researchers, who reported their findings in the journal Science, now believe they have found the reason why many females have several different mates, when in essence they only need one male to breed.

By mating with several different males, females who come from inbred groups are opening themselves up to a larger gene pool. This strategy enables them to screen the sperm they collect, then filter the one that is genetically less compatible.

Scientists from the University of East Anglia used flour beetles in an experiment to study these breeding patterns.

In regular populations they found the rate of breeding was identical, irrespective of the number of mates the females took. However, when they carried out the same test among inbred groups they noticed that the survival rateof the offspring was halved when the females only mated with one individual.

The university team then deliberately produced a group ofinbred beetles, by breeding them with their close relatives, and watched the effects.

They noticed that they too began to mate more regularly and with several different suitors in order to combat the ill effects of inbreeding.

‘Exactly how females filter the most compatible sperm is not yet understood,’ said Professor Matthew Gage. ‘They might simply mate more frequently, and allow the ‘best sperm to win’, or they might choose to mate most with less related males, thereby concentrating their sperm stores from those males.’

Either way females were able to easily adapt their natural behaviour to boost their chances of healthy offspring.

It is a process that will carry on for several months."

Brad Pitt no big hitter on the baseball field

Brad Pitt no big hitter on the baseball field
Brad Pitt is "amazed" to star in baseball film 'Moneyball' because he knows so little about the sport.
The 47-year-old actor plays former Major League player and Oakland Athletics manager Billy Bean in the film but admitted in real life he chose wrestling and diving over baseball at high school.
He told Sports Illustrated magazine: "It's shameful how little I know about baseball. I'm amazed they let me do this movie.
"Baseball and I didn't get along that well. I wrestled one year in high school. I dived one year. Everything but baseball."
However, he was attracted to the role because it is based around his home state and gave him a chance to tell a good underdog story.
He added: "I'm an Oklahoma-Missouri boy, so I'm no stranger to a bit of dip. So really, I was just revisiting my roots. I'm a sucker for the underdog story."
Brad feels the film is unconventional by today's Hollywood standards, and instead compares it to 70s movies 'The French Connection', 'One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest' and 'All the President's Men'.
He said: "What we were trying to do is tell an unconventional story in the Trojan horse of a conventional baseball movie.
"In scripts today, someone has a big epiphany, learns a lesson, then comes out the other side different.
"In these older films I'm talking about, the beast at the end of the movie was the same beast in the beginning of the movie.
"What changed was the world around them, by just a couple of degrees."

She adds, "We haven't cast it yet but we've done a couple of readings and we had one reading in Los Angeles with Brenda Strong from Desperate Housewives, who read the mother, and she keeps saying to me, 'When is the play going on? I want to play that part!' It's about a young girl who's mother has taken over her life and won't allow her to marry her rock star boyfriend. "At the end of the first act he is murdered in the family swimming pool. It's Jackie Collins meets Agatha Christie. For the actress who's gonna play the mother, it is the role of a lifetime."

Ben Folds Five hints at new album

American singer-songwriter Ben Folds is hoping to reunite cult group Ben Folds Five to record new material.
The group, comprising of Folds, Robert Sledge and Darren Jessee, split up in 2000 but reunited for a one-off gig as part of a taping for MySpace.com show Front to Back in 2008.
The cult trio reformed again earlier this year to record three tracks for Folds' new album, The Best Imitation of Myself: A Retrospective, which is due for release in October.
Now Folds is hoping to head back to the studio with Sledge and Jessee to record more songs as a three-piece.
"We did three things that we could do quickly for the record, and there were all these other ideas that I was bringing in that were really more radical. So I think in December we'll probably get together to do that as long as I have enough material when I come back in," he tells Spinner

Foo Fighters perform tolerance song for anti-gay protesters

The FOO FIGHTERS confronted anti-gay protesters outside their Kansas concert on Friday (16Sep11) by serenading them with an ode to tolerance.

Members of the Westboro Baptist Church lined up outside Kansas City's Sprint Center ahead of the gig to protest against the rockers, who they have accused of promoting "fornication, adultery, idolatry (and) f**s".

But frontman Dave Grohl and his bandmates ensured they had the last laugh after performing a comedy song in front of the picket line while wearing trucker hats, wigs and fake bushy beards.

Standing in the back of a flat-bed truck, Grohl belted out his specially-penned track Keep It Clean, which included the line, "I've got a hankering for something, think I'm in the mood for some hot man-muffins."

Fans cheered on the group as Grohl cried out, "Ladies and gentlemen, God bless America! Land of the free, home of the brave!

"I don't care if you're black or white or purple or green, whether you're Pennsylvanian or Transylvanian, Lady Gaga or Lady Antebellum, it takes all kinds!"

Simon Cowell's new X Factor offer to Cheryl Cole

After Cheryl Cole was sacked from the US X Factor and turned down the chance to
go back to her old role in the UK, we figured her X Factor
days were well and truly over.
Now, however, we can reveal that Simon Cowell's offered Cheryl a chance to perform on the US X Factor and even be a special guest mentor - and she's seriously tempted.
The star, who's already recorded a segment for the US X Factor to explain why she left the show, knows it'd be
a huge opportunity for her to crack the States.
‘She and Simon have hardly spoken since she was let go from the show,' says a friend.
‘But just before Cheryl flew out to the US for filming on What To Expect When You're Expecting, she called Simon in an emotional state.
'She told him she's forgiven him for what happened and wants to put it all behind them and move on.'
So, shortly after Cheryl arrived in the US, Simon, 51, called her with an offer to perform her debut US single on one of the live shows, in addition to mentoring the contestants alongside him
for a week.
The fact that Cheryl's even considering his proposal is an indication their relationship's finally back on track.

Rupert Grint, is that ALL for you?! You're our hero

RUPERT Grint is a man after our own hearts.
If there's one annual occasion when you're allowed to stuff yourself with cake, it's your birthday.

And while the rest of Hollywood probably prefers to nibble on salt crackers (or two) to celebrate their special days, Rupert Grint is all about the gorging.

The Harry Potter fitty celebrated his 23rd birthday with a huge party in Las Vegas on Saturday night, starting with a slap-up meal and this enormous ice cream sundae.

Rupert spent the rest of the night dancing with several ladies at club Chateau, where his name was lit up in neon lights.

'Charlie's Angels' actress Rachael Taylor "sensitive" about fight scenes after abusive ex-boyfriend

 Rachael Taylor

Rachael Taylor has revealed that she still feels vulnerable after her abusive relationship with Matthew Newton.

The Charlie's Angels actress, who was left with concussion and a sprained jaw after Newton attacked her in a hotel in Rome last year, said that she has been filming lots of fight scenes with men for her new show that have brought back raw memories.

Taylor told TV Week magazine: "I was fighting a six foot four guy the other day. Never in my life did I think I'd be so happy to fight a man. I'm sensitive to that - for good reason."

The star took out an apprehended violence order (AVO) against Newton after the incident that saw him arrested and in and out of a psychiatric clinic for a year. He later broke the terms of the AVO by trying to get back in touch with her.

Taylor is now in a relationship with former Sea Patrol actor Josh Lawson and said of him in May: "Josh has been a really great influence on me and I adore him. We are really happy. We have a deep friendship, a deep respect."

She has also said that she feels "really happy", adding: "This is the best I've ever felt. I really didn't expect for it to feel so good. I am enormously fortunate and a little bit astounded myself at it. It's been an incredible 12 months."

Watch Harry Styles fall over on stage after One Direction's G-A-Y cake fight

HARRY Styles should know better than to waste a perfectly good cake.
Unfortunately for him, the cake got its own back.

One Direction took to the stage at London's G-A-Y over the weekend to celebrate What Makes You Beautiful going straight to No.1 in the charts.

And after being presented with a congratulatory cake, the boys decided to turn the event into a huge food fight, hurling pieces of iced sponge across the stage before their performance.

What they didn't foresee was just how slippery the smeared icing would be, resulting in a rather epic mid-song fall from Harry Styles.

Amy Winehouse looked like superstar at funeral

Amy Winehouse's mother, Janis, wanted to make sure her daughter looked a ''superstar'' at her funeral so made sure her hair and make-up were done
Amy Winehouse looked like superstar at funeral

Amy Winehouse's mother wanted to make sure her daughter looked a "superstar" at her funeral.

The 'Rehab' singer - who died at her north London home in July at the age of 27 - was famed for her heavy eye make-up and her beehive hairstyle and Janis Winehouse was keen for her to have her trademark look before she was cremated.

So before she was put in her coffin, two of her assistants made sure her make-up was perfect, put her famous black beehive wig on her head and dressed her in a short yellow dress.

Janis told the Sunday Mirror newspaper: "It was an act of love. She went out looking like the superstar the whole world fell in love with."

After being given the tragic news her beloved daughter had died, Janis went to visit Amy's body in a coroner's office in London so she could say goodbye.

She said: "It was only then , when I looked at Amy's body, that it dawned on me that she'd gone. She looked peaceful, at rest, beautiful.

"But as I gazed at her, Amy aged nine flashed into my head. When she was young I'd scream at the bottom of the stairs, calling for her to get up for school. 'Amy wake up! Amy wake up!', I'd shout. No answer.

"I'd run up and find her asleep. She was impossible to wake up. Now she wouldn't wake again. She was gone. It was my moment of final acceptance. The time to say goodbye."

NEWS - Harvey urges government to head off further riots

Singer/songwriter Pj Harvey has predicted Britain faces the risk of further riots as there is a "tinder keg" of frustration across the country.
The cult rocker insisted in an interview earlier this year that the country would see "a wave of unrest", and within months of her comments, looting and arson erupted in cities including London, Manchester, and Birmingham in August.
Now she fears there could be further outbreaks of violence unless the government takes urgent steps to address the underlying social issues that sparked the rioting.
Harvey tells NME magazine, "I wouldn't go as far as saying I predicted anything. But I think anybody who follows the news, and who tries to go even further to find out what's below the surface of what we're allowed to be told, you pick up a sense of great frustration that's like a tinder keg. You've just got to strike a match and it's going to go off.
"It's all over the world at the moment... I can't say I was surprised. It was just a matter of time. Just wait and see what the government chooses or what it puts in place to start addressing some of the issues that brought it about in the first place. We'll have to wait and see."

Amy Childs: "I'll have my own reality show"

Amy Childs:
Fresh out of the Celebrity Big Brother house, Amy Childs is already contemplating her very own reality TV show. It seems that the red-head just can't seem to get enough of the public knowing her every move, and since she snubbed the newest series of TOWIE, we're guessing the only thing to do next is follow in the steps of former model Katie Price and create a show all about her very tanned self.
But that's not all, the reality star has also revealed that she's now ready to settle down and find herself a man after that Lucien Laviscount fiasco, Amy says,
"I miss having a boyfriend and it would be nice to have someone to cuddle. I want to find someone who can make me laugh and has a good personality."
For those of you Essex lads on the edge of your seats, here's Amy's criteria so that you might put yourself forward for such a role,
"I want someone good looking. But the most important thing is their sense of humour. I want to get married and start a family when I'm 25 so I haven't got long!"
Still with us? Well, you might also have to deal with being on the telly 24/7 as Amy is already contemplating the structure of her very own reality show,
"I want people to see the real me. I'd just be myself and it would be really fun. You'd get to see me doing photoshoots, opening my own business and out with friends."

BBC drama as actor James Bolam tires of New Tricks

James Bolam, the star of New Tricks, has pulled out of the popular drama days after the BBC announced that he would appear in a new series.
James Bolam, the star of New Tricks, has pulled out of the popular drama days after the BBC announced that he would appear in a new series.

With viewing figures of almost 10 million, New Tricks is the BBC’s most popular drama. However, just days after the corporation announced that it had commissioned the show for two more series with its current “dream team” cast, it has been thrown into turmoil.
James Bolam, who has appeared in all eight series, tells Mandrake that he has pulled out. “James Bolam is not doing another series of New Tricks,” confirms his agent.
The former star of The Likely Lads is said to have told friends that the programme, in which Dennis Waterman, Amanda Redman and Alun Armstrong play a band of old-school police officers brought out of retirement to work on unsolved and open cases, has gone “stale”.
The producers are now desperately trying to persuade Bolam, 76, to return for a cameo appearance. “We are very sorry to see him go, but fully understand that the time and commitment involved in filming are quite considerable,” says Richard Burrell, the executive producer.
“We are in talks with James about him returning for one episode next year. We are very excited about the return of the rest of the cast.”

Mustaine risked paralysis at Big Four show

Heavy metal star DAVE MUSTAINE risked paralysis by pressing ahead with MEGADETH's concert in New York on Wednesday (14Sep11) - because he needed urgent surgery to fix a painful neck injury.
The headbanging rocker played through the pain to hit the stage for the Big Four gig at the new Yankee Stadium after suffering an injury during Megadeth's recent Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival tour.
He wore a neckbrace as protection during the show, but admits one wrong move could have put an end to his rock career.
Speaking to RollingStone.com before the concert, he said, "I was in a hospital (on Tuesday) morning, so I'm going home to get (neck) surgery right after this.
"It's pretty bad. If I move wrong tonight, I could be paralysed."
Mustaine reveals Megadeth almost pulled out of the gig - but he decided to put his faith in a higher power and go through with the stadium set.
He added, "We called and said I couldn't make (the gig). And then I thought about it and I thought, 'You know what? I trust God and I know He's got me in his hands.' I know that he hasn't brought me this far through all this diversity and done all this reconciliation with all the (other) bands and us all getting along this well to have the finale show here in the States stopped. And I just thought, either God's everything or it's nothing, and I believe in Him, so that's why I'm here."
The rocker's surgery means Megadeth have been forced to delay an upcoming concert in Dubai, United Arab Emirates until December (11).

Wadada Leo Smith to Premiere Civil Rights Opus ‘Ten Freedom Summers’

Multi-media project was inspired by August Wilson's 'Pittsburgh Cycle'

Trumpeter/Composer Wadada Leo Smith will present the world premiere of his multi-media Civil Rights opus “Ten Freedom Summers” with the Golden Quartet and Southwest Chamber Music October 28-30 at the REDCAT Theater in the Walt Disney Concert Hall Complex in Los Angeles.
“Ten Freedom Summers” is described as “a collaboration between Smith’s celebrated Golden Quartet featuring pianist/composer Anthony Davis, bassist John Lindberg and drummer Susie Ibarra, and the acclaimed Southwest Chamber Music ensemble conducted by Grammy Award-winner Jeff von der Schmidt.” According to a press release, the musicians will record the project in the days after the premiere for release on Cuneiform in the spring of 2012. “In designing the sprawling multi-movement work,” the release says, “Smith focused on the formative decade framed by the landmark 1954 Supreme Court case Brown v. Board of Education that overturned the notorious Plessy v. Ferguson decision ratifying Jim Crow segregation, and the passage of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, which outlawed many forms of racial discrimination.”
“Ten Freedom Summers” is a multimedia project that incorporates archival news footage and cinematic imagery edited with a musical sensibility. The production was inspired conceptually by August Wilson's Pulitzer Prize-winning 10-play “Pittsburgh Cycle,” in which each play chronicles a decade of African-American life in the 20th century.
Smith has divided the 18 movements into three thematic collections: “Defining Moments in America,” “What is Democracy?” and “Ten Freedom Summers.” Movements are dedicated to the Mississippi Freedom Democracy Party leader Fannie Lou Hamer, the brutally slain teenager Emmett Till, and Montgomery bus boycott catalyst Rosa Parks.
Smith composed two movements during a Djerassi Foundation residency and five pieces during his 2009/2010 Fellowship with the John Simon Guggenheim Foundation. F

Ryan Gosling will quit films

Ryan Gosling will quit films
Ryan Gosling wants to retire.

The 30-year-old actor - who began his showbusiness career as a member of the 'All-New Mickey Mouse Club' when he was 12 years old - wants to try other things in his life but doesn't yet know when he will end his career.

He said: "I've been doing this since I was 12. I don't want to act much longer. I can't do one thing my whole life. I know there are only so many characters I'll be able to play. It will be over whenever the inspiration dries up."

Ryan can next be seen in 'Drive', and while the violence in the film has caused some controversy, Ryan loves the disturbing scenes and finds them "fascinating".

He added in an interview with The Times newspaper: "You make movies to fill a giant screen. I was it with people who screamed and cheered like at a soccer game. They weren't sure if it was a joke.

"Were we serious? It was so violent we had to be, but it was so violent how could we be?

"I love the violence. It's fascinating how primal it is. We didn't really concern ourselves with its authenticity. It was more of a symbol of my character's emotional landscape."
