Kate Middleton and Prince William will keep their trip low-key
Kate Middleton and Prince William attended a special reception in Hollywood last night.
David Beckham was there to chat to the new Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, but Victoria - about to give birth to their first daughter - was missing from the glamorous bash for 200 guests.
Drinks and canapés were served in the garden of the Consul General's residence in Los Angeles and David gave Wills some signed LA Galaxy shirts to auction for charity.
'Victoria really wanted to come but she is just so tired at the moment,' Becks, 36, told the Royal couple.
'She sent you both lots of love. How was Canada? It looked amazing.'
Prince William, 29, was delighted to see the footballer, who flew to London for the Royal Wedding on 29 April, and sent his best wishes to Posh, 37.
'Don't be silly, send her all our love and tell her good luck with it all,' he replied, reports the Daily Mail.
'It's been an amazing few days - we've been so lucky with all the incredible places we've been able to see and we've met so many fascinating people. It's been amazing, amazing.'
Kate, 29, wore an emerald green Maja dress by Diane von Furstenberg for the party and teamed it with nude platform heels and a leopard print clutch.
She and Wills are expected to demonstrate they're not irresponsibly extravagant by flying home on a British Airways flight instead of a private jet after their successful trip.
