‘Of course Kate wants a family and she and Wills see no reason why they should delay having children,' a Royal insider tells Now.
‘Obviously they're both still on a huge high from their successful tour of Canada and the US - both of them had an amazing time.
'If anything, it's brought them closer than ever because they worked so well as a team.
'Kate plans on being a hands-on mum like Diana was to Wills and having a baby will be the icing on the cake for them - they're so in love.'
When they announced their engagement in November, Kate, 29, said: ‘I hope we'll be able to have a happy family ourselves,' and William, 29, added: ‘We want a family.
'We'll have to start thinking about that.'
They're wasting no time.
Last week, a newspaper claimed the couple had already consulted a gynaecologist and Kate was looking into a fertility diet rich in folic acid.
While Clarence House declined to comment, there's no doubt the couple couldn't be more in love.
