Ronan Keating nervous about new music

The 'When You Say Nothing At All' singer is back in the studio to work on more solo material following a stint touring with his group Boyzone last year, and while he admits he is worried about its reception, he is simply doing it for himself.

He told BANG Showbiz: "It's not folk. It's a mix! It's a pop album. Gregg Alexander and I are working together again. It's got that 'Life is a Rollercoaster' feel again. I'm having fun with it again, it's been five years since I've done a studio album. I'm a little bit nervous.

"I just want to make a great record, for me, rather than for anyone else."

The Irish star – who is also a judge on the Australian version of 'X Factor' alongside Melanie B, Natalie Bassingthwaite and Guy Sebastian – will also be reuniting with his Boyzone bandmates Keith Duffy, Mikey Graham and Shane Lynch in the near future to celebrate their 20th anniversary as a group.

He said: "Next year Boyzone will be 20 years gone, so we'll be doing something."
