Wicksy appeared in a special segment that was broadcast after the show's credits had rolled.
Fans of the BBC One soap were advised before the emotional funeral episode to carry on watching right to the end.
They were rewarded with a shot of a grey-haired Wicksy at Pat's graveside after dark.
He placed a floral tribute on the grave and said 'Goodbye mum', before disappearing into the shadows.
Berry, 48, spent five years on EastEnders, but left Albert Square in 1990 and later retired from acting.
He agreed to make the one-off appearance to mark actress Pam St Clement's departure from the show after playing larger-than-life Pat for 25 years.
It was a late addition to the funeral episode and BBC bosses said it was only filmed on Thursday and edited in the hours before it was broadcast.
