A scuffle outside an NYC Macy’s where Justin Bieber was attending a promotional event Thursday for his new fragrance was “a misunderstanding,” the singer’s rep said.
It all happened after cops set up a small pen outside where JB could meet fans. The singer, 17, left the pen and went straight to the main barricade holding back an estimated 500 people. The crowd surged forward, and the barricade started to come down.
Police officers and Bieber’s security tried to get him back inside but a man standing in the doorway refused to step aside and had to be physically moved. The man was issued a summons for disorderly conduct and released.
Police learned later that he was actually a member of the singer’s security.
