Big Brother auditions begin in Manchester

BIG Brother is back, with thousands of hopefuls making their bid yesterday for a chance in the house.

Kicking off in Manchester's Old Trafford stadium, the Big Brother auditions began as thousands of hopefuls queued for their shot.

And producers of the Channel 5 show explained that they want to pick people on their personalities.

Exec producer Katy Smith said: "We're very keen to have really genuine housemates, people who want to do it for the experience and not just because they want the fame.

"Big Brother needs to be a bit more authentic. Our biggest message is: 'Be yourself.' If you aren't your persona will crumble in the house.

"The house just gets bigger and better each year with each new group of housemates and this year, it will be very personality l
