The Dark Knight Rises NY Set Gallery and More Videos!

Following the action on the set Saturday, the fun continued in New York on Sunday for the filming of Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight Rises. We've posted photos from the shoot which you can check out by clicking here or on the photo below!

Opening in theaters on July 20, The Dark Knight Rises stars Christian Bale, Michael Caine, Gary Oldman, Morgan Freeman, Tom Hardy, Anne Hathaway, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Marion Cotillard, Juno Temple, Josh Pence, Daniel Sunjata, Nestor Carbonell, Matthew Modine, Tom Conti, Joey King, Brett Cullen, Chris Ellis, Josh Stewart, Christopher Judge, Adam Rodriguez and Rob Brown.

Maniac Remake Taking a Unique Visual Approach

If one was to go about remaking William Lustig's Maniac, one would have find a unique approach to the story, after all, we've seen many imitators over the last 30 years on television and in film. Maybe not blatant copycats, but there have certainly been similar onscreen creeps.

Director Franck Khalfoun and producers Aja and Gregory Lavasseu - the team behind the upcoming Maniac redo - seem to have angle.

Besides the unconventional casting of Elijah Wood, as the "maniac," rumor has it that all of the killer's scenes will be shot in POV.

Badass Digest broke the scoop, first reporting that the entire film would be shot in POV, but their story was corrected (someone on the inside must have reached out to clarify) to state that the POV technique would only appear during the killer's moments.

Wood would only be seen in reflections.

POV has been a staple of the genre, of course, putting the audience in the killer's shoes. Peeping Tom, Halloween, Black Christmas are benchmark films utilizing the technique.

Given the grotesque nature with which the maniac of Maniac does his business, this could get particularly nasty...

Labyrinths Piano Innovators Concert Set for Baltimore

Lady Gaga is over the moon with her whacky outfits

The queen of costume change outdid herself at the MTV EMAS on Sunday.

Picking up four gongs - including Best Female - in true style, Lady Gaga undertook no less than five outfit changes.

Her wacky looks all had a nocturnal theme, in line with her new single, Marry The Night.

And she took to the stage to perform the track, posing as a satellite landing on a moon that had been created as part of the backdrop.

Her spectacular silver and black outfit she wore to accept her Best Female award from David Hasselhoff proved to be a bit of a nuisance, however.

The Baywatch star had some trouble working out how to hand the award to the star as her limbs were covered by her creation.

 She also won Best Song for Born This Way, plus gongs for Best Video — presented by Bar Refaeli — and for Best Fans.

Collecting the song award, she said: "I knew that this was very special when I wrote it, and I didn't know when I first started out as a songwriter how special it would be.

"It's the most important single to me."

DiCaprio And Penn In Demand For Inarritu’s Latest

 

Having just confirmed a deal with New Regency to fund his latest directorial effort THE REVENANT, Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu is in talks with Leonardo DiCaprio and Sean Penn to headline the project. The film will be based on the best-selling novel by Michael Punke and will follow the character of Huge Glass, who after being severely injured in a bear attack on a fur-trapping expedition, is then robbed and left for dead. Surviving both acts, Glass sets on a quest to find the men responsible and seek his own brand of justice.
Penn previously worked with Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu on his English-language debut 21 GRAMS (2003), alongside Benecio Del Toro and Naomi Watts. The directors last feature was the award-winning BIUTIFUL, that saw Javier Bardem give another powerful Acadamy Award nominated performance.
